Bees for Development Ethiopia

Our Mission

The mission of Bees for Development Ethiopia is to promote beekeeper friendly apiculture development in Ethiopia that is well integrated with sustainable natural resources management and knowledge development.

Our Vision

Bees for Development Ethiopia aspires to “see wealthy rural communities in Ethiopia, whose livelihoods are sustained through integrated apiculture and natural resources management”.

Our Values

The core values of Bees for Development Ethiopia include:

  • Participation: This is about involving key stakeholders in the entire process of programme formulation, implementation, learning and improvement for a common end.
  • Pro-poor development: BfDE’s strategic plan will put unemployed youth, women, people with disabilities and the very poor at the center of its development interventions.
